Interactive 3D Modeling in Your Browser

Create 3D models directly in your browser with aioCAD. This interactive tool allows you to place basic geometric shapes and combine them into complex structures. You can easily manage the construction area, add walls, and include text within your design. The system provides clear visual aids like XYZ axes and precise dimensioning tools, making it easy to build accurate models without needing specialized software installations or heavy hardware.

Advanced Engineering and Export Options

aioCAD supports advanced engineering features such as creating threads based on ISO 724 or DIN 13 standards. You can define custom thread sizes, pitch, and flank angles for precise mechanical designs. Once your model is complete, you can export your creation as an STL file or a 3MF format to preserve color information for 3D printing. It is an ideal tool for rapid prototyping and technical CAD modeling.

Frequently asked questions

Can I create threaded parts in aioCAD?

Yes, the tool supports standard thread sizes based on ISO 724 and DIN 13 standards. You can also define custom dimensions for threads, including pitch, nominal diameter, and flank angles, ensuring your components are ready for precise manufacturing or 3D printing applications.

What export formats does aioCAD support?

You can export your designs in both STL and 3MF formats. The 3MF option is particularly useful if you need to preserve color information for 3D printing projects. Both options allow you to export either the entire scene or just specific selected parts of your creation.

Is my data safe when using aioCAD?

Modelling, boolean operations and the STL or 3MF export all run directly in your web browser, so your designs are never sent to a server for processing. There is one deliberate exception: if you use the "Send to slicer" button, the 3MF file is briefly uploaded to our server, because Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer and PrusaSlicer fetch the model from a URL and cannot take it straight from the browser. It is stored under a random, unguessable address and deleted automatically after 15 minutes. Without that click, no model leaves your browser.
